Programs
Navigating the three main types of school sport programs – NCAA, NAIA, or Intramurals – depends on the sport, student ability, and desire to continue a full time athletic program versus academic and social considerations.
In general, NCAA Division 1 schools for a sport will be the most demanding in terms of time and commitment. Certain types of programs have scholarship money available yet families often overlook the merit and academic based aid options that are also possible and often times to amount to more money than the athletic scholorships.
Our goal is to balance and navigate the school options based on the facts as well as what is best for the student and their family given the realities of today’s college landscape.
Sports Recruiting
Beyond general college selection and planning, additional sport-specific recruiting strategies and approaches for college bound athletes are available.
Due to the complexities of NCAA, NAIA and college athletics, College Click recommends students who want to compete in college start their planning as early as sophomore year.
